Refund policy

A lamp is something you have to live with for a few evenings before you know. So you have 90 days from the day your order is delivered to change your mind, and we pay the return shipping.

What we take back

Any piece that comes back unused and in its original packaging, within 90 days of delivery. Bamboo is woven by hand and marks easily, so please keep the box until you're sure.

We can't take back a piece that has been damaged by use, modified, or sent back without its packaging.

How to return something

  1. Email contact@maisonlevand.com with your order number and what you'd like to send back.
  2. We reply with a prepaid return label. Print it, tape it to the box, and drop the parcel off.
  3. When the parcel reaches us, we refund you within 5 to 10 business days, to the card or account you paid with.

Your bank decides when the money appears on your statement, usually a few days after we send it.

Returning part of a set

The sets are cheaper than buying the pieces one by one, so if you keep only part of a set, the set price no longer applies. We refund what you paid, minus the normal price of the pieces you keep.

For example: the three-piece set is $744.30. If you send back the vase and keep the floor lamp and the pendant, the two pieces you keep cost $638 on their own, so your refund is $106.30. Sending the whole set back refunds the full $744.30.

If it arrives damaged or faulty

Don't send it back. Email us a photo of the piece and of the box within 14 days of delivery, and we'll send a replacement or refund you in full, your choice. You keep the damaged piece or we arrange the return at our cost, whichever makes more sense.

Because every shade is woven by hand, no two are identical: small variations in the weave and in the tone of the bamboo are the mark of the work, not a fault. Anything that affects how the piece stands, hangs or holds is a fault, and we'll put it right.

Cancelling before it ships

Email us as soon as you can. If the parcel hasn't left the warehouse, we cancel the order and refund you in full, the same day.

Exchanges

We don't run exchanges. Send back what you don't want and order what you do. It's faster, and the refund and the new order don't wait on each other.

Shipping you already paid

If your order was a single piece and you paid the $9.95 shipping, that amount isn't refunded when you simply change your mind. If the piece arrived damaged or faulty, we refund it too.
